Regarding the DIP switch modification : A modified YPVS controller, gives full access to the timing cycle of the exhaust power valves. By reprogramming the ypvs controller, there are lots of gains in the middle & top rpm range, as Yamaha had linearity in mind when the bikes left the factory. This is particularly true if you've changed exhausts and/ or tuned the bike but stock engines will benefit as well.
After the modification, you will receive back your YPVS controller, along with a chart with suggested settings, to get the best acceleration and horsepower from your bike. The chart includes all Yamaha stock timings as well, from early Rd350 models up to Tz250s!
The modification is plug & play, no alterations needed to your wiring loom or any other part of the bike. Plug the YPVS control unit, set the preferred exhaust valve timing and go! Dip switches are protected from a Velcro strip (not shown in the pic).
