This is a tinkering level filament extruder, works, but is a labor of love...

This is also intended to work with pellets, I don't think the feed would work well with shredded prints.

I did sucessfully use this to make a nice custom filament with MoS2 powder blended in ABS as dry lubricant, which worked pretty well in my final printed parts.

I did try making short chpped fibre CF reinforced Nylon, which unfortunately defeated the extruder.  If i recall correctly the upper temperature hardware limit would have probably worked, but the software on the machine limited the temperature a bit lower, and melt visicosity was still too high.

So, the first item on the new owners agenda would be disassembly and cleaning out of the Nylon, I had to disassemble and heat up that bit in an oven to do this previously...

There is a bit of customization, I replaced the isolation between cold and hot sides with a solid PTFE spacer and stainless bolts to reduce heat conduction while increasing hardware temp rating, I also put higher temperature insulation around the hot end.  These changes don't make any difference to actual temp limits, which are software limited.
