Many articles contain information and illustrations related to the Civil War, including a map of the Port Hudson, Mississippi area, “Pay Day in the Army of the Potomac,” featuring Union soldiers buying provisions, and “Southern Chivalry,” showing the scalping, beheading, and mistreatment of surrendering Union forces.
