Omega's military was definitely an eye opener and the gold standard for awhile after it first came out, and was leagues beyond other straps on the market (with a price to match lol). But as you say it sounds like several other companies have caught on to the seat belt weave strap trend.
The very popular “Classic Bond” military Watch Strap captures the essence of the military strap developed by Britain's Ministry of Defence (MOD) in the 1970s. The strap is often called the "Bond" after the requisition-form that service personnel had to fill out to get one from Quartermaster's Stores. Over the years, popularity amongst different regiments and civilian wearers alike has led to a wide range of colors and patterns.

WATCH STRAP DETAILS
The top-grade ballistic nylon is incredibly dense, but devoid of any perceptible ridges like in traditional military nylon weaving. This means the nylon surface is completely smooth, and the feel in your hand is similar to an automotive seat belt. The nylon is cut with a state of the art ultrasonic machine, leaving perfectly sealed tips and sizing holes that have no irritating bumps/burrs.
Supreme does not end with its nylon: the hardware is also a step above. The 316L stainless steel keepers feature machined beveled corners, and a flat profile, giving them a more angular and rugged look. The buckle is finished to a high degree, featuring a CNC machined solid tongue (versus folded flat stock), and is perfectly proportioned: not too large, but not too slim either. All of the hardware features a uniform brushed satin finish. Each strap is carefully assembled by ultrasonically fusing the nylon, and then stitching it with strong nylon thread.
The Supreme nylon is 1.3mm-1.4mm thick (slightly thicker than a Premium military). Upon request, we can provide your strap as a slimmer "single layer" military, without the extra layer of nylon underneath the watch head.
