The Airline '59 3P DLX – Ripley Custom is a truly Iconic American guitar! This unique guitar design has been rediscovered thanks to contemporary artists like Ripley Johnson, Jack White and others re-popularizing the vintage Airline model. In fact this 3 pickup version is a signature model for Ripley Johnson (Google “Wooden Shjips” for more info). Like the other '59 1P, 2P and 3P Deluxe models, this one is great. Additionally, it features a unique, Trans Warpdrive preamp booster built right in. This lets you really push your amps with the simple flick of a switch – Perfect for leads and to get some really rich, burning tones.

Vintage Airline Guitars were made in the USA between 1958 & 1968 by Valco and sold through Montgomery Ward. Valco also made National and Supro brands. Today these vintage electric guitars are highly prized by collectors and have been made famous again after being rediscovered by many of today’s influential guitar players. Original Res-O-Glas models now routinely sell for thousands of dollars. These reissues from Airline Guitars are fantastically fun and a killer bang for the buck! They also play as good as they look thanks to a number of enhancements to the construction and playability vs their vintage counterparts.
