Sold.... deposit taken.....!The car now runs, but runs lumpy and needs to be set up by someone who understands the K-jet fuel system, I honestly don't and it is listed as a project and priced accordingly.

Porsche 924 LUX 2,0 auto 1980,  project 75k rare order green metallic with even rarer matching colour interior. This car is registered as a historic vehicle so is ULEZ exempt, road tax exempt, Mot exempt and costs me £150 a year on insurance.
Since I've owned this car I've rebuilt the head, new valve stem seals, head gasket (£100 gasket set) Had the fragile exhaust studs removed and replaced with modern items and new gaskets (£270) exhaust manifold is good with no cracks, cleaned and heat wrapped the down pipe aswell as finding and fitting a new Walker Porsche backbox & centre box that was painted black at source. New HT leads, New Dizzy cap and plugs.
Interior of this car seems to be very rare and the seats are in great condition considering the age of the car. Centre console and dials are loosely fitted and will need connecting up at some point before using.
Exterior of car looks great and is very clean again. But once you get up very close to the paintwork you can see moisture bubbles. This car was painted in the late 90's and it has lasted over 20 years and still looks good. Just being honest, unlike the nice man who sold the car to me.
Battery tray has rotten through and is a very common problem on early 924's. I have a universal battery tray that sits in there nicely but could do with some modification to look 100%
Engine.... I've rebuilt the head, new head gasket, valve stem seals, distributor cap, ht leads, timing belt kit, fuel filter.
Drained and cleaned the fuel tank.
The electrics will need re-connecting in places like the centre console and checking the earths are good I guess.

I bought this car as I wanted a Ulez exempt classic car that was fairly cheap on parts and cheapish to run.

It's a beautiful looking car in a great colour combo with the interior and with only 75,000 miles.

The rest of the bodywork and floors of the car look in great condition for its age and along with some old mot's from the 80's and 90's go to back up its low mileage.

The car just needs someone to weld in the new battery tray and connect up the electrics to their appropriate switches.

A great project for someone who

You are more than welcome to come and view the car on a weekend.
