Sign O’ The Times - The Singles is a collection of 7" singles released a month prior to the Sign O’ Times Super Deluxe Edition, in August 2020.

The collection contains remastered editions of the commercial and promotional 7" singles from the time of original Sign O’ The Times album in 1987 - Sign O’ The Times, If I Was Your Girlfriend, U Got The Look, I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man, Hot Thing (which had been released as a promo only in the USA), and The Cross (which had been released as a promo only in South Africa). Additionally, the set included a unique single, Witness 4 The Prosecution, containing two tracks which would be included on the Sign O’ Times Super Deluxe Edition: Witness 4 The Prosecution (Version 1) b/w Witness 4 The Prosecution (Version 2). Both tracks had been released for streaming and download prior to the collection’s release.

The set was limited to 1,987 units (in honor of the year the Sign O’ The Times album was first released, 1987), and was manufactured by Third Man Pressing in Detroit, MI, USA. All seven 7” singles were manufactured on peach vinyl in picture sleeves, of which three were newly designed using exclusive photography from Jeff Katz. Each set was accompanied by one of six special collectors picture cards, and came housed in a hand-numbered 7” box.

The set came with a download code for the tracks included in the set. Since the same edit of Hot Thing was included three times on the vinyl set, the download included only twelve tracks.
