Nikon Zoom Nikkor 43-86mm f/3.5 Pre AI Manual Focus Lens Lovely condition!
One of the classic short zooms from Nikon. The 43-86mm 2x zoom was the standard lens on many professional Nikons in the 1960/70s. Quick enough to be useful in lower light it is also very light and compact. Optically really good as well. This is the original version with the silver filter ring. The very first commercially produced domestic zoom lens! Something of a historical landmark. This is the Pre Ai version, so may not work on all modern digital bodies. More suited to earlier Nikkormats and Nikons from the same period.
This one is in lovely condition. optics and mechanics are both flawless. Please study the photos for exact condition but I haven't seen many better examples of this lens. Comes with front and rear caps as well.

This lens, which went on sale in 1963, was the third zoom lens to be produced by Nippon Kogaku K.K., having been preceded by the Auto NIKKOR Telephoto-Zoom 85-250mm f/4-4.5 and the Auto NIKKOR Telephoto-Zoom 200-600mm f/9.5-10.5.
It was also the first domestically produced standard zoom lens.
