Born in Sleaford, Lincolnshire in 1898 Anthony Frederick Peacock Pochin was the son of a banker. He had homes in Kensington and Barkby Hall, Leics. He was a man of private means, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society. He was a very keen member of the society in the 1940’s and 50’s and a prolific exhibitor at the annual exhibition and London Salon, as well as internationally.
