Vintage Tinplate Battery Operated High Wheel Robot Toy, Yoshiya (KO) Japan, EXiB A nice vintage tinplate battery operated High Wheel Robot with original remote control, with metallic blue body, clear plastic chest plate with coloured gears, red plastic hands and red tinplate feet, made by the Yoshiya Co. (K.O.) of Japan in the 1950's, in a very good original box. The toy is in excellent working condition and the tinplate Is clean and shows little playwear. The metal rear antenna is original, on the plastic remote-control battery box is intact enough to enable it to close (these are often broken) and the inside of the battery box is clean and rust-free. However, it is best not to fully close the battery box when testing the robot since modern batteries are larger than the ones used in the 1950’s and 60’s. When switched on, the robot walks forward with lighted head and chest, and the coloured gears in the chest spin around. It measures about 9 inches tall and is marked “K.O. Made in Japan” on the rear of the body. Comes with a very good original box with some creases and marks, but which still displays well. A great vintage Japanese Robot toy that would make a great addition to any Robot or space collection. video of it working & cogs working is on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOGAjZP8rT0
