Buckingham first day cover with the ‘50th Anniversary of the Country Definitive’ stamps. 
This regional cover features the stamps of Wales and has been signed by Mark Hughes, welsh football international.

A small label on the reverse certifies:- Mark Hughes played football for the Welsh national team 1984-99. He also managed the team 1999-2004. He will sign no more than 105 Buckingham, Welsh definitive covers which feature the 3 50th anniversary Welsh definitives & Caernarfon CDS.

Leslie ‘Mark’ Hughes OBE (born 1963) is a Welsh football coach and former player who is the manager of Bradford City. During his playing career, he usually operated as a forward or midfielder. He had two spells at Manchester United, and also played for Barcelona and Bayern Munich, as well as the English clubs Chelsea, Southampton, Everton, and finally Blackburn Rovers. He made 72 appearances for Wales, scoring 16 goals. He won a host of medal winners’ medals of during his playing career, including 2  Premier League titles, 4 FA Cups, 3 League Cups and 2 UEFA Cup Winners’ Cups. He also collected an FA Cup runners-up medal and a League Cup runners-up medal. He was the first player to win the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award twice, in 1989 and 1991. He retired from playing in 2002.
He was appointed manager of Wales in 1999 and remained in the role until 2004. He then spent four years in charge of Blackburn, guiding them to 6th place in 2005–06. He took charge of Manchester City in June 2008 for a year and a half before spending the 2010-11 season at Fulham. He joined Queens Park Rangers in January 2012, helping them retain their Premier League status in 2011-12. Despite some high-profile signings in the summer of 2012, QPR began the 2012-13 season in very poor form, and he was dismissed in November 2012. From 2013 to 2018 he was a manager at Stoke City, in 2018 manager of Southampton and from two 2022 to date he is the manager of Bradford City.
