Unusual antique copper engraved map of Peru, par Daniel de La Feuille (1640-1709). The map shows a very nice compass.

Size with margins : 29 x 21,2 cm / 11,4 x 8,2 inches

Condition : good condition, a part of right margin cleverly extended, in colors

Edition : 1706, 18th century

Daniel de La Feuille was a French engraver, publisher, and dealer. His most famous work is "Devises et emblems", a collection of symbols and designs, used for engravers and orfevres. He produced some maps and atlases, which continued to be published after his death. His sons Jacob and Paul succeeded to him.
