1949 printing of 1924 copyright Bible. It appears to be leather-bound, unused copy. It is slight askew from improper storage. Inscription on cover page in pen: "Sincere Christmas Greetings from the The Gordon H Schroeders 1952". This edition is printed by The Judson Press which is a part of the American Baptist Church.

This translation was the first to be written by a woman. Helen Barrett Montgomery was a Sunday School Teacher who wrote it for her Sunday School class of boys to have a better understanding of what they were reading. Ms. Montgomery was a student of Greek at Wellesley college and translated it from the original Greek manuscripts which were available at the time.
