Fresh from the estate of a retired Swiss-trained watchmaker, a genuine American Made Sheaffer STERLING SILVER Pen and Pencil set.  This set hails from 1974 - dated by the literature which indicates it was produced "9/74" (see photo #6) - which is appropriate for this type of set.  While produced in 1974, this set is new and was never purchased.  The watchmaker acquired the set from the inventory of a closing jewelry store.  While we do not have the jewelry store's actual inventory, we know the watchmaker received it in that lot and that store was charging $47.50 for it in 1975. As a frame of reference, $47.50 in 1975 is the equivalent of $282.93 in 2024 dollars after adjusted for inflation.
