G&L L-5500 bass with swamp ash body in Trans Red finish. It features two EMG humbuckers that have a ton of punch and low-end depth, yet can be tightened up perfectly for a more up-front response. They have a sizeable overall range thanks to the pickup blend and active treble and bass controls, making it surprisingly versatile for the configuration.

Condition: This bass is in very good condition. It does have various small dings, dents, scuffs, and light scratches, but still remains very clean and still looks great for a used instrument. The frets show only light wear if any and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should. There is a small dent in the nut for the lowest string but has no effect on playability and sound.

Body: Double cutaway contoured swamp ash body in Trans red finish. G&L saddle lock bridge. Black plastic control knobs.

Neck: Slim to medium depth C shape hard rock maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. G&L open-gear tuning machines with clover keys. 1 7/8” nut width. 34” scale length.

Electronics: EMG humbucking pickups and active eletronics. 1 x volume, 1 x pickup blend control. Stacked concentric active treble and bass controls. The knobs are chrome replacements, better looking then the black plastic EMG knobs

Playability/Sound: The slim to medium profile is very easy to move around even for a 5-string. The pickups are punchy and full of low end power, yet have great range thanks to the pickup blend and active EQ.

Case: Includes original hardshell case, certificate and paperwork
