Very Good vintage condition. Binding is tight and pages are clean and intact. Typical age-toning to pages and inside covers. No markings or stamps and minimal shelfwear. Faint opening crease along hinge of front cover. Small thumbing tear in lower right of front cover. Edges and spine are sharp and square. This is a handsome and hard-to-find copy of the 3rd Pocket printing of Cain's classic hardboiled tale of lust and violence. Cover art is by Tom Dunn.
