Description: Old 17th ceentury copper engraving of Lyon France in hand coloring.

Cartographer: Zinzerling: Justus T. or Sinserling, latinisirt Jodocus Sincerus, jurist, philologist and geographer, was born in 1580 in Thuringia, studied in Jena.
After completing his studies he went to his secondary education, a multi-year journey through France, England and the Netherlands.
About 1609 he went to Basel.
In the same year he went to Lyons, where he found a job in a print shop as a corrector.
