This is a superb Vintage Silver replica Pudsey Spoon with a Tudor Rose Seal to the end of the handle. It bears the silver makers mark for Mappin & Webb, the London Assay Office mark and date letter for 1985. 

 

It is in good clean condition with no dings or dents and measures approximately 12cm in length.

 

This is a replica of the famous spoon in the possession of the Pudsey Family of Bolton Hall, now in the Myers Museum Liverpool.

 

It was traditionally held that the original spoon was given to Sir Ralph Pudsey by King Henry VI after the battle of Hexham. The original is dated 1525, London.
