Pair of original oath of allegiance by a Confederate Civil War Soldier and Prisoner of War

Almond Hays served in the 2nd Georgia I Company and was captured September 10th, 1863 in Summerville Georgia.

Two signed, sworn declarations of allegiance to the United States.    First one signed on June 15th 1865 and the second signed August 29, 1865.    The second specifically recognizes the emancipation of slaves.
