This shop was bought from the manufacturer detailed below. 

It was bought a few months ago but my child did not want to build it so it is still in the unopened state that I received it in. I didn't want to open until it was being made. Would love to see it going to someone who will take care of it.

The material we use to manufacture all our products is called medite.  It is NOT the cheap MDF you buy at your local DIY store.  Medite machines nice and crisp and does not fluff up like MDF.
