Landscape fiber art ~ Cotton fabrics were layered and free motion quilted with cotton variegated threads, 80/20 cotton batting. Black cotton binding.

Wall pieces are constructed like a quilt -- the top, batting and back are quilted to enhance the design and secure the pieces together. The binding is cut extra wide, sewn on using the continuous strip method and stretched on a canvas-covered wood frame -- the extra-wide binding fabric is wrapped to the back of the stretcher bars and secured. The wood frames are sturdy but lightweight, weighing about 4 pounds. The piece hangs on the wall like a painting and a wire hanging kit is included.
