The 4K/60Hz or 4K/30Hz switch on the Docking Station manages the bandwidth for different video resolution and data transfer rate configurations.
The DOCK IN port manages the bandwidth for the first display and all the audio and data functions.
- 4K@30Hz Mode: Full USB, SD card data, and Gigabit Ethernet speed + 4K@30Hz video
- 4K@60Hz Mode: USB 2.0 data transfer speed and 480Mbps Ethernet + 4K 60Hz Video
The 2ND VIDEO IN port supports a second monitor with a video resolution rate up to 3840x2160@60Hz

Important Note
- Windows 7 PCs may need to download a driver from Cable Matters
- Mac computers with the new M1 chip support only a single external display. This is a limitation of the Mac computer hardware.
