Vintage Barling estate pipe offered here, fresh from the estate of a former Madison Avenue advertising executive who clearly enjoyed his high-end pipes.

This is a Barling King #6279 large pot with beveled top, sandblast finish. I believe it is an early transition era piece from the 1960s. Generously sized it can hold lots of tobacco and sits comfortably in the hand or resting on the table.

The stampings are worn but still clear and legible.

Measures appx 6 1/4" long x 1 12" tall.

The pipe was not meticulously maintained, unfortunately - there is moderate-heavy cake, some lava and possibly charring. Bit chatter is light-moderate. Bit sits secure in the stem but does leave a minor gap - which would probably close up the process of cleaning. No cracks, chips or bad scratches to the briar. I have not cleaned or sterilized the pipe, preferring to leave that to the next owner -- it will surely clean up beautifully. But please note this is an AS-IS listing so if you're concerned please look at the photos carefully and ask any questions in advance.

See my listings for more estate pipes from the same collection and know that I will gladly combine shipping. Thank you!
