In our study, some of the coins dated to the Trabzon Empire in the Trabzon Museum were examined. Among the Trabzon Empire coins registered in the Trabzon Museum inventory, 152 silver and copper coins that can be classified and provide chronological data were selected and included in our publication work.

The coins of the Trabzon Empire, made of silver and copper, in our study, start from the period of Manuel I Komnenos (1238-1263) and date back to the IV. It ends in the rule of Ioannes Komnenos (1446-1458).
