The Legendary !!! Grateful Dead " Closing ! " Run in April '71 at Bill Graham's Historic Fillmore East !!! in New York City !!!!!

Fellow Dead Fans !!!  What an Immaculate ! release this 4-CD set is.  As we know, most Dead Fans experienced " That Moment ! " when they were fortunate-enough to get their hands on the analog tapes from this Monumental ! run of Fillmore East Shows : 4/26, 4/27, 4/28 & 4/29 - with 4/28 & 4/29 both being permanently embedded in many Dead Heads taping-minds.  We pretty much all have had this surreal taping-experience when we got sets from these Shows -- and the super-lucky fans ( who are lucky enough to be old enough ) were even at these Shows !  This run is just Monumental ! - Historic !! & Classic !!! - and there is just no other way to put the " Importance " of these Shows into words.  This essentially was the culmination of the the Band's love of both the Fillmore East as a Venue - and New York City as a Place - not to mention the crucial hot-bed of rabid New York Dead Fans ! - who Loved & Still-Love ! their Good Ol' Grateful Dead !!!  This mind-blowing release is 40+ songs chock-full of multiple " Moments of Magic ! " - with Pristine & Prized Jams !!  This period in both time & space is just So-Fantastic ! in that it is without a doubt the " Rough & Tumble " era of the Grateful Dead ' Live ' - but at the same time it is undoubtedly headed into the pristine & ultra-tight / clean era ( i.e. Europe '72, 1973 through the Wall of Sound Era ).  However, unlike the latter - this is the Pigpen Era ! ... and my goodness is his presence felt all-throughout here.  Ron can deliver Heart & Soul with ease like few could ever dream - fortunately for us ( vocally ) - Garcia, Weir & Brent carried on this essential Grateful Dead trademark tradition.  This run officially " Closed " the Fillmore East - which I'm certain at the time was most definitely a bitter-sweet moment ... however, much more ' sweet ' than bitter - as these were amazing boundary-pushing days for not only the Dead, but also for mastermind promoter Bill Graham ( owner of the Fillmore(s) - both East & West ).  The special-care for the Loyal Rock Fans, and all of the exciting " Extras " always continued for these very valued & respected Fans - all the way through Bill's untimely passing in 1991.  I treasure this release myself, because it demonstrates prime-success ! by both the Best Live-Band Ever ! - and also the Best-Promoter ever - in Bill Graham ! - unarguably, the ones who wrote-the-books on both !! ... Item Condition :  This Ladies And Gentleman The Grateful Dead - Fillmore East - New York City - April 1971 4-CD Disc Set is in Good condition.  CD's ( Disc 1, Disc 2, Disc 3, Disc 4 ) are in Good condition with numerous scratches and marks throughout the playing surfaces (cosmetic-only) - please see photos (photo #12).  Each CD has been tested in entirety, and plays with 100% perfection.  Liner Notes ( 13-Page Inside Booklet Insert & Front/Back Insert Cards ) are in Good/Very Good condition, with indentations & handling wear on the Inside Booklet Insert (please see photos).  CD Case ( 4-CD Jewel Case ) is in Like New (Near Mint/Mint) condition, with only very-slightest of surface wear (please see photos).  Photos included are of the actual item you will receive.  The Grateful Dead Live ! in yet another " Prime " form !!  Spring Tour '71 - in New York City - at the Closing of the Fillmore East !!! - This Fans, is Rock 'n Roll !! ...
