Large Oil: Paul Wadsworth 2023 - sold with original gallery receipt/proof of ownership. New. Still in gallery packaging. Never unwrapped or hung.

Large oil on canvass. An original and unique oil on canvass from Paul's recent collection. One-off sale as the picture (although loved) is unfortunately too large for the intended space in buyers home. A unique opportunity to own a Wadsworth of this outstanding quality and scale at a price that will be an investment!

List price is a guide to value - all sensible and genuine offers considered. Collection only or arrange your own delivery. This is a beautiful oil and is wasted in my loft. I want to sell to a genuine art lover who will display and enjoy this fabulous, striking piece. Sad to sell but worse to waste. Galley and museum enquiries welcome. When I get the cash I will spend on more of Paul's smaller works! This will enhance any home or private collection but I am not wasting money on top London auction-house fees!

Artist biography beneath:

“I am a physical painter who loves observing and capturing movement - energy and rhythm that can be transformed into painted works.”

Paul Wadsworth

Paul trained at Ipswich College of Art and Design and at Falmouth College of Arts where he obtained a BA (Hons)in Fine Art.

He is a rather nomadic British painter who lives between the UK and India conducting a balance of field and studio work, harnessing his time spent abroad as his primary theme. He infuses his artistic vision with performance and travel to create striking, bold works full of life, energy and enthusiasm often reflecting fleeting moments of beauty captured in his everyday explorations of Indian villages; their natural beauty and inspiring colour providing an abundance of inspirational material.

Paul has also travelled and painted extensively for many years in the UnitedArab Emirates and Oman, exhibiting in Dubai and Muscat. His aim is to tellstories through his paintings and conger the feelings and emotions of traveland discovery in different landscapes and cultures.

Paul is also fascinated by the circus. Growing up in Great Yarmouth where there was a permanent circus, their energy, colour, life, movement and the challenge of capturing a fleeting moment enthralls him and motivates his pursuit of immortalizing a moment of performance in permanent artworks.

Paul paints whilst travelling and keeps sketch books of quick observational drawings which serve to jog his memory when back in the studio where his process is to work on a number of canvases at the same time. Starting with no specific idea the paintings grow as the story emerges from the paint. Paul tends to bounce from one painting to another finding colours that work creating a rhythm throughout.

Paul’s work is in many collections including the Tresco Estate, Barclays Bank Dubai, Saudi Arabian Investment Bank and Marks and Spencer plc.
Paul was elected to be a Member of Newlyn Society of Artists in 2004 and is also a tutor and teacher at the Newlyn School of Art.
