Guy Tachard , also known as Père Tachard, was a French Jesuit missionary and mathematician of the 17th century, who was sent on two occasions to the Kingdom of Siam by Louis XIV. (Wikipedia).

Condition: Part leather binding with gilt titles scuffed and worn as shown. Front and rear paste down inscribed, front joint cracked. Text sound with pages generally clean. 1 of the 4 foldout plates present in this volume is detached.
