Pack # CAPS02

This capacitor set is for the original"breadbin" style C64 with PCB Assy no: 250407, Rev A and is also suitable for the relatively rare KU-14194HB

It also Includes:

1 x 1.5 - amp glass fuse

1 x 4.7nf ceramic capacitor (C38)

These packs of capacitors are specific to your own machine type, and are easy to identify by checking your motherboard’s ASSY and REV version

Replacing C38 with a 4.7nf capacitor improves the response of the restore key.

when installed, pressing Run Stop / Restore, should respond with thes ame pressure as any other key.

And the glass fuse is a replacement or spare for the Commodore’s glass fuse.

Update your old capacitors and replace them with new fresh and modern capacitors.

This will help to extend the life of your Commodore 64 for many more years.

The original capacitors were not designed to last for 40 years and can potentially leak and damage your board and chips.

Before that happens, it is recommended that you solderi n replacements to extend the Computer's life.

A soldering iron and basic soldering skills are required

Electrolytic capacitors are polarized, so make sure to note the polarity when replacing them

(in other words, make sure the new ones go in exactly the right way round as the old ones!!)
