' refined-product that Jerry was seeking to create & deliver to the Fans - and if you were close-enough to the stage front ( which, I was - often  ) ... there was just a " Glow !!! " on Jerry's Face performing with this unit, which sometimes seemed to be like none-other.  And, when all of the Planets ' aligned ' - and he & they " Got-Hot !! " ... my-oh-my - Oh-MY ! was it " ON !!! ".  Jerry would hunt for those Jam ! pockets like a ' Thief in the Night ! ' - and when he was done with them, there was nothing-left of'em.  As the " Jerry-Magic !!! " in this '87 to '91 Era was just constant, consistent, and even dare I say it ... " professional ".  I mean just think back here, as both 1989, 1991 featured the truly " Big-Time ! " J.G.B. Tours that covered the Midwest, The South, the East-Coast, and then yeah ... " Goin' Back to Cali ! " - for a little Warfield !! ' Church-like ' J.G.B. Love !  But, my point being ... this sure was a Fine-Tuned ! J.G.B. Machine !! here in This-Era, and it really wasn't prior to '89 - or, arguably '87/'88 ( for the most part ), and 1993 was indeed the ' Very-Last ' Big-Run.  But, Hey - the Hockey Rinks & Music Sheds all over the Country ! were quickly becoming filled " Fast ! " with Garcia-Band Fans !! ... and right-here, my fellow Garcia Fans -- you get to ' Experience ' This-Era ... Right-at " The Eel River !!! ".  I mean talk about a few of the last-chances to see Pure-Greatness ! in a ( far more than ) " Intimate ! " Venue.  As in fact, I remember it quite like it was yesterday ... sitting down at RFK Stadium ( under you know - That " Tunnel ! " ) on Dead Tour in the Summer of '89 - and reading the ' Setlists ' inside my freshly-acquired " Dupree's " Flyer ! hand out - and here I-am in " The District of Columbia " like what - almost 2,500 to 3,000 miles away ... and from-here just even thinking of ' The Eel ' - in Garberville, CA was but a " Dream ".  And the simple fact was ( as things did indeed turn out ) ... there was only one-more shot left for Anyone ! to see Jerry & Co. at The Eel -- in '91.  I'm fortunate enough to say that I saw Jerry Band in Hockey Rinks, Music Sheds, inside the Good Ol' Oakland Coliseum - on Halloween '92 ( Whoa ! ), at the Henry J. Kaiser, and have even had the elbows right up on the stage at The Warfield !  But ... I never could quite catch " The Eel !!! ".  So, in many ways ( at least to me ) - these '87, '89 & '91 Eel River Shows are Still ! so very-much like a Dream ! - and, as far as the Musical-Caliber - Heart ! - and Pure-Soul !! of these Jerry-Shows ?!! - dang ... as I think wholeheartedly that you'll too very-much agree.  So yeah ... just like that Good Ol' Bumber Sticker on Tour once So-Well-Said ... " Thank You Jerry !!! ". -- Enjoy !!!!!
