'Icon of Christ' is an original contemporary Christian Icon in oil pastel on canvas board. As is the case with this type of art, I have signed the oil pastel painting on the back. My oil pastel technique uses canvas board for texture and scratch marks for the highlights that give a rustic feel. All my oil pastel paintings have been protected with a layer of fixative but oil pastel can still smudge so I would recommend framing without glass or using spacers to keep the glass away from the surface.
This painting is new, in that it is an original unsold work of art, but being an original painting there is obviously no original packaging etc.
All my paintings are original works, are signed and come with a certificate of authenticity.
