A stunning example featuring hobnail cut side wall and star cut base, with sturdy solid 925 silver lid (20g) with hole for easy dropping in of items. The date letter, which is rotated 90 degrees from the other hallmarks, is a little unclear but possibly 1902 (I think the letter may be a B with the lower lobe not stamped well or worn). It may also be a P for 1915.

The maker is Synyer & Beddoes and the assay office stamp is for Chester.
