I AM HAVING A MASSIVE CLEAR OUT OF MY COLLECTION OF MANY NEEDFUL BEAUTIFUL THINGS, I JUST LOVE FABRICS AND TEXTILESAND HAVE TENDED TO ALMOST HOARD THEM.  MANY OF MY LOVELY THINGS HAVE BEEN STORED FOR A LONG TIME NOW, BUT, AS WE HAVE DOWNSIZED AND HAVE VIRTUALLY NO STORAGE I AM SERIOUSLY HAVING TO SADLY PARTWITH MOST OF MY COLLECTION.

These gorgeous curtains in a design from the Warner  'collection 'Gardens of the Orient' by Warner  are 39 years old but honestly nobody would know this by the brilliant look and crisp feel of the super quality fabric and the wonderful  design - really really lovely but also so hard to photograph. I asked a friend how she would describe the quite unusual and lovely colour of the curtains and she said 'plum' whereas I think it is more of a mid to rich aubergine shade - my photos i  show the colour as too deep and bright  in most of the photos, particularly the first ones.

The curtains are lined in crisp  quality robust fabric in a similar shade to the fabric itself and the linings are strong and good but have some sun lightening here and there, in wide sttripes, this obviously can be seen but isn't too dramatic and when hanging and gathered probably wouldn't poaticularly notice.

The background fabric has a fine stripe pattern, not particularly noticeable but adding to the overall look, and the vertical pretty oriental flower, stem and leaf design  with butterflies and dragon flies and oriental fruit is in quite soft very pretty colours, again my photos are a tad too bright- everything looks so good

There are also delightful plaited same fabric quite large tie-backs, please see photos.

The pinch pleat header is very neat and stylish - the specialist pinch pleat hooks are not in place but can be easily purchased on line or from somewhere like Dunelm.

Each curtain measures approx 93 inches wide flat ungathered at the hem by approx 83 inches drop.
The pinch pleat header is  in good condition - measuring approx 37 inches on each curtain making them perfect for a window approx 74 inches wide.
The specialist pinch pleat hooks are not in place but can be purchased easily from Ebay or Amazon or somewhere like Dunelm.

These really lovely curtains are so crisp and make a lovely rustling sound when touched, they are amazing seeing as they date back to 1985.

The lining with its sunstripe fading here and there is the only thing that I can see that actually shows that the curtains have been used really - they are not 'perfect' as they are pre-used but really brilliant and so eye-catching.

Really orgeous quite rare vintage curtains.
