This
is a pristine example of a classic blank decorated in gorgeous hand painted purple
and yellow iris blossoms on stem and leaf with a band of gold around the rim
and gleaming gold dragon handles. (The blossoms are actually closer to purple
rather than blue in person) The dragon handles are sought after by discerning
collectors and the gold finish on both the handles and rim remain in excellent
condition.
This
blank stands 9 inches tall and 8 ½ inches in diameter. The ovoid moon vase
measures 4 ½ inches from front to back. The blank is marked with the Pouyat
underglaze factory mark 5 in green that dates the piece to the 1891-1932. The
condition of this piece is excellent with absolutely no wear, no chips, cracks,
crazing, hairlines or damages of any kind. The gold remains in near pristine
condition. Please examine all of the photographs as they are considered part of
the description and feel free to ask any questions that you may have…
