PITTSBURGH PENGUINS JAROMIR JAGR JERSEY SZ 52
THIS A CUSTOM JERSEY. NOT CCM PRODUCT
In 1994, the NHL was in the early stages of formulating its original Third Jersey Program — an initiative that brought about the likes of the Burger King and Wild Wing jerseys. The jersey you see above was one of the finalists to become the new third jersey. They were designed by Vance Wright Adams — the firm that gave the world the Robo Penguin or pigeon logo in 1992. The designs were nearly submitted to the NHL for approval, but the league’s labor dispute ultimately canceled the project.
Based on the Burger King and Wild Wing Jerseys, this jersey is constructed in the same fashion as it would have been produced, if the Penguins went ahead with the project. The jersey offers Reinforced Elbows, Double stitch, underarm gussets and the fight strap. All patches , crest , Letters , and Numbers are sewn on
The Kings wore replicas of their early-to-mid-80s uniforms for a few games as part of the NHL vintage program.
