Gorgeous round table basket with handle. Richly decorated with rococo style patterns, handle is decorated with grotesques. Inner part is slightly gilded. There is a commemorative signature in German on back side. Made in Germany, presumably by Hanau manufacture. Hanau silver masters worked in classique, baroque and rococo style and hallmarked their items in free manner.
Hallmarks: swan ("cygne", silver items imported to France, minimum 800 silver standard), crescent crown 800 (since 1886 identification hallmark for German silver).
The condition is very good, with traces of age and usage, age stains.
