This is a extremely rare Antique 1907 Mohair American Hecla Teddy Bear. The company only existed for a few years so extremely hard to come by. He has a vertically stitched rust colored nose, long arms, hump back and he has 5 claws on each paw stitched in rust color. Fully jointed head, legs and arms. Measures approximately 12” tall. There are patches where the mohair has come off, most notably on the nose. One of the legs is loose, it is still attached but loose. There is a patch on one of the arms I’m assuming was a restoration.? There are a couple of holes where you can see the wood wool stuffing. Such a sweet face I bet if he could talk there would be so many stories to tell.
