Matryoshka dolls, also called ‘Russian nesting dolls’, are a traditional representation (since about 1900) of a mother carrying a child 
within her womb. The progression of smaller and smaller dolls represents of a chain of mothers carrying on the family legacy. 
Matryoshka dolls are also intended to illustrate the unity of body, mind, soul, heart, and spirit.
“Matryoshka” comes from the Russian name Matryona, which means “little mother”.  The dolls are not considered to be ‘toys’ but 
symbolic decorative display pieces – or “fertility charms” - which are particularly suitable as gifts to recently married young women!

• We will obtain a “Proof of Posting” but the package will not be tracked.
