12 JERUSALEM ARTICHOKE TUBERS, Sunchokes, for seed

Plant as soon as you can, frost won't harm them.  Plant about 6" deep and  18" apart.  They will start to grow when the soil warms up.  They will grow all year until the first frost.  They will flower just before the first frost.  The tubers form in the ground around the root and can be harvested from the time of the first frost and throughout the winter.

Jerusalem Artichokes can be roasted, or made into soup, and they have many other culinary uses.

They can also be used as pheasant cover.  if they are planted near the surface the phesants can find the tubers.
