Viola M. Allen was born on Long Island, New York on March 14, 1906. Allen studied at the Pratt Institute and NAD (painting with Charles Curran, portrait painting with Moskowitz and Borgdonav, sculpture with Haffner and Monahan). She had a commercial art studio in Malibu for many years. Unmarried, she died in Ventura, CA on April 8, 1997.
