Hi I am selling some of my odd items that I have collected over the years. This pre-loved WW1 Death Penny Plaque is a rare and highly collectable item. Its design commemorates the soldiers who lost their lives during the First World War and is a unique piece of history. Made from metal, this vintage plaque includes its original envelope style box. This is also accompanied by the Mons star medal and ribbon which is engraved to the reverse with the soldiers name and number 15012 and Som.L.I. Pte Gilbert was assumed dead on 25.09. 1915 aged 30 and was from the Somerset Light Infantry, 8th Battalion. There is also associated paperwork. A lovely collection to remember a brave soldier.

It features name “Alexander Thomas Gilbert” and the words “He Died for His Freedom”
