Here is a pair of 8GB DDR3 DIMMs made by Crucial to handle memory transfer rates to 1866 MT/s and beyond.  These are standard , unbuffered, non-ECC memory modules. Each is a 1.5V, CL9,  240-pin double-sided DIMM with eight chips on each side (2Rx8) underneath metal heatspreaders that are about 1.5 times the height of a standard profile DIMM.
