This
legendary Russian lens is a clone of the Carl Zeiss Biotar, and is
renowned for it's distinctive and attractive Bokeh, which makes it ideal
as a portrait lens and well suited to any kind of shallow focus work
where visually pleasing backgrounds are desirable.
Featuring
a very sturdy build quality, this lens really looks superb, and
delivers unique results that really make images "pop" and have a 3d look
to them. This version is in the attractive two tone "Zebra" finish.
The
lens comes supplied with an adapter to allow it to fit Canon EOS DSLR
cameras. It's a manual lens so focusing and aperture need to be adjusted
manually but the camera will provide exposure control. Instructions are
included and with a few minutes of practice, you'll soon be getting
great shots!

The adapter is non destructive and when removed, the lens has a "M42" mount and it can be very easily and cheaply adapted to pretty much any camera available today. I have personally used this lens on my Canon 60d, a Sony NEX-5 and a Panasonic G1 and GH2! There are M42 adapters available inexpensively for the following systems and more:

Adapters are in plentiful supply on ebay, just ask if you require any advice!
The lens is a manual optic and hence focusing and aperture must be adjusted manually but the camera will still provide automatic exposure when using AV mode! I recommend using the camera in liveview mode for focusing as you can zoom in and get the focus just right! I even use this manual focusing technique with my autofocus lenses if I have time as it often results in sharper focus than the camera can manage by itself!
The lens is in good working condition overall with a few cosmetic signs of use in line with the item's age.
A few fine cleaning marks and a few bits of dust/specks as with any used lens, but nothing that affects the performance.
A little lubricant is present on the aperture blades, but this is quite normal with "preset" lenses where the aperture mechanism is manually actuated.
Fully tested on Canon and Sony cameras and delivering gorgeous looking images.
Both the focus and aperture mechanisms function smoothly and positively.
The lens comes supplied with an M42 to Canon EF adapter and front + rear caps.
