This HP Pavilion 15-CX0001NA Gaming Laptop is a great option for those looking for a powerful computer for gaming and other tasks. Although it is listed for parts or repair, it still has a lot of potential for someone who knows how to fix it up. With a touchscreen, built-in webcam, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, backlit keyboard, and built-in microphone, this laptop has plenty of features to offer. The Intel Core i5 8th Gen. processor and 15.6-inch screen make it perfect for gaming, while the black colour gives it a sleek and modern look.

Laptop was purchased in mid-2018 I believe. All worked fine including gaming until a few weeks ago when screen could not be shut one night, heard a grinding noise and saw small bits of black plastic appearing when trying to shut. Dismantling for investigation showed all but two of the hinge screws had pulled out of their plastic complete with their threaded inserts, and these screws eventually caused a restriction. Hinge itself was not snapped.

Purchased a new back and new hinge screws with plans to purchase a replacement screen bezel also. Unfortunately during the process of dismantling the screen itself suffered some damage owing to partial delaminating as photographed. Decided against purchasing further parts for more of a repair due to the age of the device however have replaced the broke hinge screws and back screen for new items.

Hard drive NOT included in this sale. No returns simply as I don’t want to see it again!

Have reassembled it as far as possible with the exception of the hard drive. Hard drive side screws, connector, cable, charger, and original screen back are also included. It’s given me great service and hopefully there are some good parts in there which will go again in a future project as it’s a fundamentally good laptop let down only by the heavy use of plastic. All system components never let me down.
