Eisenstaedt was one of the most prominent photojournalists of the 20th century, in both Europe and the United States, and is perhaps most famous for his photo V-J Day in Times Square. I recommend looking up the rest of his photos from the 1952 Hemingway story, there are several striking portraits of Hemingway, and reading about the difficulty of photographing the constantly drunk Hemingway.
