Girl Scout Silver Green Badge

 Badges with Silver Green fabric came with black bobbin thread from 1938 to 1947 when the entire manufacturing process changed to a WHITE bobbin thread.  To complicate things, the SG fabric was changed in 1948 to a bright green, thus SG badges with a white bobbin were sold for only ONE YEAR, 1947-48 making them very special since you can date them exactly.  These have been removed from uniforms and show fraying on the edges.
