18TH CENTURY SILVER MOUNTED SHAGREEN SURGEONS / MEDICAL INSTURMENT CASE
Period: Early 18th century.
Materials: Shagreen and solid silver mounts with brass interior.
Dimensions: 145mm wide x 64mm long x 37mm deep.
Makers marks: A.G makers mark.
Condition: There is some damage / splitting to the shagreen on the front corner of the case. Minor damages around the edges of the case. Some minor dings / dents to the brass. The box does not fully close leaving a gap of a few millimetres. Wear commensurate with age and use.
Notes: A rare early 18th century surgeons / medical instrument case, covered in shagreen with silver mounts.
