A few years ago we bought a wonderful early lighting collection from a long time dealer in New York who had some fabulous Shaker items and these molded antique tallow and beeswax blend candles were part of it. We sold a lot of candles just like these in the past from that estate as you might remember if you have ever followed our listings and have had quite a few messages from buyers since then who wanted more and we've decided to part with these here for you so don't miss out if you've been waiting and wanting more. They are the last ones we will be selling in this style for now.

They are MUCH better in person than the pics could ever show you too. The old patina has withstood the test of time quite fairly and they were stored away for many years in an old metal box so no critter damage or other apologies with these. The pics and closeups will show you the details you need of the wonderful 100+ year old patina on each one of these in each listing. Again please check all of our listings if you are interested in more than one of these as we have some others but they are all being sold one at a time so each listing is for ONE CANDLE that you see in the pics here. 

They measure about 7 inches long with hand done frayed wicks and will fit in your antique lanterns or hog scrapers just prim perfect and have the look and old tallow beeswax seasoned scent we all love so much if you're an early lighting purist or just love the blend of tallow and beeswax mixed together to promote longer stronger burn times which they did back in the day. As you may know the Shakers lived a very simple frugal lifestyle and they were some of the first inventors of this blended style of wax and these were molded in old wood and pewter or redware molds they also made back then too. These are getting very rare to find and again these are the last ones of this size and style and patina that we will be selling here for now unless we get some back from any early lighting museum exhibits we may still have anything on loan to.
