'Contorted' Mulberry is a very ornamental and unusual variety of mulberry.  This variety can be grown either as a single axis tree or as a bush.  You just train it initially with a little pruning.  (if trained as a bush, the ultimate size may become 15' in diameter and 15' high--very specular specimen.)  Also very attractive in winter without leaves)

The stems are twisted  (contorted)   and the leaves are massive and very dark green.  (see pictures)

Contorted will produce both male and female flowers, and thus produce some fruit, although usually not large amounts, although this seems to vary from yr. to yr.

ALL PLANTS ARE GROWING IN 4X14" TREE TRAINER POTS, AND ARE UP TO 4' IN HEIGHT.
