I
am vtg and antique Bohemian jewellery collector. I often travel to
Gablonz, Czech republic, to search for original hidden treasures of
Bohemian glass jewellery which can still be found in small shops in the
area or directly from people living there, who used to work in jewellery
factories. You would be surprised that there is still original stock
hidden in attics, cellars or old warehouses of Jablonec people (previous
Gablonz, Czechoslovakia). Many of these lovely glass pieces people find
burried when building new garage or house - they were hidden there for
decades - usually before the WW 2nd or in the 1940´s, when many German
inhabitants had to leave. This
is one of them.
The
endless
beauty of Bohemian / Czechoslovak pressed glass brooches will never stop
amaze me... This one is dated in early 1950´s created by the best
Czechoslovak glass designers as a part of the World Exhibition in
Brussels, Belgium.
Beautiful simple geometric design, but very ellegant brooch, with
a mixture of colours, added uranium glass. Iridescent finish of
carnival glass. Stunning rare art piece.
Shines under UV light. These are so called "new old
stock" hidden away for many decades. You will have a true piece of history at home.

I
am Bohemian vintage and antique jewellery collector located in
Slovakia, the heart of Europe, previously we were a part of
Czechoslovakia and I consider Bohemian glass to be also my country´s
heritage I am proud of.
I
post with Slovak Postal Services as registered letter. I book labels
on-line, bring it to post office and they proceed with Customs
declarations, so it takes a day or two (or three depending on weekends
or national holidays) untill they really dispatch them. Please be
patient, I am doing my best to be quick, I work full time as a teacher
and run a non-profit to support young people with eating disorders, have
a 10 years old daughter., so sometimes it adds up.
I send all over the world, the delivery should not be longer than 10 working days, but usually it is faster than that.
