Schuchter & NHK Symphony Orchestra Victor Stereo Recording Collection (Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition, Mozart: Flute Concerto No. 2, Brahms: Hungarian Dances, etc.) <Tower Records Limited> SACD Hybrid

Description

*Planned for 50 years after Schuchter's death.
The latest reprint from the master tape of valuable sound sources recorded in stereo when he was the permanent conductor of the NHK Symphony Orchestra.
Except for the Flute Concerto No. 2, this is the first time it has been released on a disc! The rigorously created ensemble is brought back to life on SACD! The world's first release on SACD. Mastering performed in pursuit of the original sound

Reprint of Schchter's rare recordings recorded from 1959 to 1962. At the time, most of the sound sources recorded in stereo were broadcast in monaural, but in response to requests from listeners, Victor made records. This time, we will master from the master tapes of the time and reprint the latest recordings, including the sound sources that have not been made into a disc except for the Flute Concerto No. 2. Schuchter was with the NHK Symphony Orchestra for only three years. His achievements in raising the NHK Symphony Orchestra to a world-class level in such a short period of time were great, and there was a desire for the recorded sound sources to be reprinted. We deliver valuable works of the highest quality here and now.
